Greetings!

Welcome to my swamp. Some people have expressed the opinion that that is an accurate description of my mind.
I began 2007 by launching my own presidential campaign on youtube. I haven't yet been invited to any debates.
Here are some of my positions:
  • Deduct the money that people send home to familes in foreign countries from foreign aid payments. This is Billions of dollars every year. How many billions? We can keep track through all those wire transfer store front services found in every city and town. We can also keep track by having the NSA monitor electronic communications of financial institutions.
  • Start planning for global warming today. The time to have a plan for when the honeycombed (catacomed?) underground of New York City floods is now, not when the East river begins to flow down the steps to the subway.
  • Government funded health care has an overhead cost of ONE PERCENT - 1%! Private insurance companies have overhead costs of between TWENTY FIVE AND FOURTY PERCENT - 25% and 40%! Just using that statistic, the private sector cannot be as cost effective or cost efficient as the public sector.
  • Any medical student who is willing to trade three years of practice for every year of school the government pays for can come work as a doctor for the new Department of Health headed up by the cabinate level Surgeon General in charge of the United States Health Forces
  • The Constitution is a legal document that establishes the right of the government to govern "we the people". The government, by agreeing to this covenant, agrees to Establish justice, Keep the peace, Defend the country against foreign enemies, Promote general welfare and Secure the liberty of the citizens and their offspring. Well, Bush has destroyed justice through executive privilege (privilege means "Private Law" - by the way) and signing statements. Bush has not kept the peace because our prisons are overflowing and the crime rates are going up. Bush is not defending this country against foreign enemies, he is creating foreign enemies. He is not promoting general welfare because while he is not tax and spend, he IS tax-CUT and spend. And none of the benefits come back to any but the top 1% of the population. Bush is not securing liberty. There is no liberty, no freedom without choices. There are no choices when everything is outlawed.
  • If this country wants to sovle a big chunck of out energy problem, offer a $5.000,000 prize, tax free to each of the first five retrofitable 100 MPG automobile engines that are mass produceable
  • It is time for a full accounting of the billions of dollars that the Bush administration has managed to lose in the past seven years
  • All employes of private security firms now under US government contract must submit to regular drug screens to rule out the use of amphetamine or steroid type compounds.
  • It should be against the law to vote on any law that is not understandable (ie. readable) Congresspeople and senators should be required to pass a written test demonstrating understanding prior to speaking on any bill either pro or con. Freedom of speech does not mean freedom to lie.
  • It should be against the law for any legislator to vote on a bill if that person has accepted money or other valued consideration from any corporation that will benefit from that legislation. Please note that the legislator is not barred from introducing, sponsoring or debating the bill, just voting on it. Thus conflict of interest is prevented but not freedom of speech.
  • Build more trash to energy power plants. have them owned by state departments of energy and use the proceeds to finance neighborhood wind turbines.
  • Legalize drugs, sell them in liquor stores and use the money to subsidize electricty producing residential solar roof coverings
